Pi Day! What is that anyways?
→In schools throughout the United States, March 14 is Pi Day. Why? March is the third month, so if we express "March 14" as a decimal, we get 3.14, which is the approximation for the number pi. The purpose of Pi Day is simply to celebrate the important and mysterious number pi.

→How is Pi calculated? Where does it come from?
Pi sounds like pie and is equal to about 3.1416. In math, this is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. In other words, pi is a number that equals the quotient of the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter.
